James is originally from 5 generations of sheep and cropping farmers in New Zealand.
He is a Pain Specialist and Anaesthetist at St John of God Midland Hospital, and also serves as the Director of the Pain Service.
Awards
James received the Cecil Gray prize for the highest scoring exam result in Australia and New Zealand in Anaesthesia in 2009, and a Merit (distinction) for the Pain Medicine exam in 2014. Prior to this he received the Clinical Excellence Medal for best registrar University College Hospital Galway in Ireland in 2008.
Interests
His interests include general chronic pain as well as back pain, neck pain and headaches, and peripheral nerve blocks with ultrasound for chronic pain.
